- Indications
- Chest pain refractory to oxygen and NTG
- Pain from isolated burns (IV Only)
- Pulmonary Edema associated with CHF (ALS)
- Pain relief with isolated injuries during long transport
- Contraindications/Precautions
- Head Injury
- Volume Depletion
- Undiagnosed abdominal pain
- Hypersensitivity to drug
- Major/multisystem trauma
- Side Effects
- Decreased BP
- N/V and Dizziness
- Altered LOC
- Respiratory Depression
- Administration and Dosage
- Adult: 2-4 mg Slow IVP, repeat every 2/min until relief of pain or 10mg has been administered.
- Adult IM Dose: 5-10 mg
- Peds: 0.1-0.2 mg/kg IV
- Naloxone for MS Overdose
